Electrical Engineering & Design
Transyscon understand the complexity of infrastructure electrification, and the challenges of integration, design, and compatibility. We work closely with industry specialists to ensure high quality sustainable solutions are designed and delivered.
Transyscon can offer a full circle package of electrical engineering, from feasibility, design, detailed design, manufacture, supply, installation and commission. Whether it be earthing and bonding, lightning protection, stray current corrosion management or Electromagnetic Compatibility, we have got you covered.
Stray Current Corrosion Management
At the start of any Direct Current (DC) railway project, one of the most important elements that often gets overlooked, is Stray Current. When disregarded, stray current can lead to costly premature maintenance, renewal, and redesign of infrastructure. Companies responsible for Operating, Maintaining and Constructing DC rail systems within Metro and Light Rail Transit (LRT) networks, should recognise the importance of effectively addressing and managing this problematic area.
As with most infrastructure once built, systems slowly start to deteriorate, and that is no exception for any stray current mitigation that had previously been deployed. Transyscon can assist with the design and implementation of periodic stray current maintenance and inspection planning, to ensure your network are operating at the optimum efficiency.
Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) interface Studies
Electromagnetic compatibility is the process of controlling the problems associated with electromagnetic interference. Electromagnetic Interference (EMI) is the result of electromagnetic induction, or electromagnetic radiation, causing a disturbance in a separate electrical circuit.
A common method of controlling EMI is by the deployment of coupling or de-coupling, earthing, and shielding to nullify or ameliorate the effects of EMI. As EMC is a complex and highly sensitive issue it is always beneficial to seek the advice of experts, Transyscon are working with industry specialists to ensure we are a turnkey provider to infrastructure projects.
